Street photo in the big city

The feet are sore, the legs feel almost a bit shaky and the impressions are many after a long day in Stockholm with the theme "street photography". Walking almost constantly for 6 hours leaves its mark on the body but also on the camera of course and in order not to sound too negative if it was now perceived as such, it was damn nice. Coward I still struggle to feel one hundred percent comfortable in these contexts. I wish my body hung in the same spirit as my senses and thoughts but something puts a stop to it. I have a vision of strolling around and meeting a lot of nice, exciting people that I can photograph without problems and immortalize a lot of moments before they disappear. I take lots of pictures on a day like this, but many pictures are shot from the hip, a little too far away and often without eye contact and it annoys me. I want to be close, make those I photograph feel special, selected and happy to be in the picture, but then you do not want to disturb the moment and create a situation. It must be like a real and an actual event. Now damn it Now I have to force myself to dare a little more. Guess you do not want to disturb or seem on the fly or whatever the phase it may be but now damn it must be good. Think how many awesome pictures we have received from street photographers through the ages. It is a kind of document about our time, our cultures and our society. /Mattias
